Aside from the fact that I believe Apple is proprietary nightmare for the advancement of mobile programmers, my love affair with the EVO grows stronger every day.

The new release of Kindle for Androids not only will save Android users the cost of buying a Kindle but also saves stress of losing another expensive toy. Being a typical male, I tend to often lose track of my phone, keys, lighters, even on occasion, my laptop. Just with the thought of losing another two hundred dollar item just plain frustrates me.

I think these electronic readers only really serve a market of readers who are in transit alot, i.e. subway, planes, and cabs. For the most part, if I was at home, I think I would much rather read an actual book after staring at a computer all day long at work.

If you want some free apps, a great place to start is viewing lifehacker’s about One Dozen Super-Useful (and Free!) Android Apps. He lists some of my favorites including Gmote, an app that screams This Phone Belongs To A Man.

IPhone users around the globe will start to see the error of their ways soon, long live EVO!

25 Php Tools to Increase Workflow Productivity

Recently learning php was a challenge. While I was searching for things to make my workflow more efficient I found this very interesting article from reencoded.com. I haven’t tried them all but the one I have enjoyed the most is CodeIgniter. I strongly encourage other php types to check out his post.

A lasting first impression will go a long way to successfully grabbing a web user’s interest. A lasting first impression is one that stimulates something inside of the user and makes them want to explore a site. On the internet, web designers try to excite one or both of the senses accessible, sight and sound.

Web designers can sometimes get caught in a rut and need to search out ideas to get the juices flowing again. Sometimes one may go out to just look at nature, or maybe an art museum to gain inspiration. Other times, its as easy as opening a web browser and looking for inspiration created by fellow web designers.

I have complied this list to show what I have found while in a recent creativity “rut.” I hope this may get some of you out of your “ruts” as well.

Brand New Build

I have recently completed the site build for simple-harmony.com. The work was for the Simple Harmony Vocal Trio based out of Dayton, Ohio. They perform at many places in southwest Ohio. If you are looking for entertainment for you event I strongly encourage you to visit their site. Simple Harmony is Mary Knapke, Sherri Heidemann, and Tod Huston. They were referred to me by Jean Ann Smith from One More Time Swing Band also another performing group from Dayton, Ohio.

I am also currently working on another site for Mary Knapke for another group. It should be done soon.

One More Time is a swing band based in Dayton, Ohio.
