AlexSablan.info Gets a Mention on Silverlight.net

As trivial as it may seem, I was bored with my studies soAlexsablan.info gets a mention on silverlight.net I decided to google AlexSablan.info to see how far Google has spidered into my site.  Low and Behold I spied a link to Silverlight.net pop up on my screen.  It seems someone has added the site to a del.icio.ous and it has gotten picked up on Silverlight.net.  It’s hard to see but you can click the pic to see the bigger jpeg.  This was a rather ironic discovery, as I was in the middle of learning how to hook up event handlers in silverlight so it gave me a chuckle.

My First Silverlight

Although not exciting as building my own actual application on VS, I have added a deep zoom application to my Artwork page showing a small selection of my projects.  You can view it here.  It was very simple to do. If you have a very basic knowledge of web design you could do it as well.

Just download the Deep Zoom Composer from Microsoft. Then add your files using the self explanatory ui. Then arrange them in the compose mode and hit export. I just exported them to my web folders before publishing and adjusted the HTML page in my exported folder to match my website and bang!!! I have an interesting rich media web experience on my portfolio site. I will adjust it later to include more artwork, but for the time being it is fine. Please leave any feedback you have concerning the deep zoom application I have added.
